Delete your data

Spash has no account and no server, so there's nothing to "request" from us — you can delete your data yourself, right now, in a minute or two. This page explains exactly how, and what happens to each piece of it.

What Spash stores

Two places, and only two. Nothing else exists.

Delete everything on your device

1. Open Spash → Settings
2. Tap Reset app / Delete all data
3. Confirm — this instantly and permanently erases every account, transaction, and category stored on your phone

This takes effect immediately. There is no retention period, because there is no server holding a copy to retain.

Uninstalling the app has the same effect — Android removes the app's local database along with it.

Delete your Google Drive backup

If you ever backed up to Drive, that copy stays until you remove it:

1. In Spash, go to Settings → Google account and tap Disconnect — this stops future backups but does not remove past ones
2. To remove the backup file itself, open Google Account → Data & privacy → Apps with access to your account, find Spash, and remove its access — this deletes the app-data folder Drive assigned to Spash, including your backup

This is a Google-side action, since the backup lives in your Drive, not ours.

What gets deleted vs. what doesn't

Deleted: all transactions, accounts, balances, categories, insights, and your display name — wherever they're stored (device, and Drive if backed up).

Not affected: nothing. Spash keeps no server-side copy, no analytics profile, and no backup outside your own Google account. There is no additional retention period anywhere in this pipeline.
